GIVE Award

The GIVE Awards are presented by Volunteer Mississippi in cooperation with the Office of the Governor to honor the accomplishments of Mississippians who make a difference in their communities and our state each year. Awards are presented at a special luncheon ceremony held the first Monday of National Volunteer Week every year in April.

The GIVE Awards recognize individuals, organizations, or communities for volunteer efforts which have made a significant difference to the state or to local communities, establishing high standards for volunteer involvement and effectiveness and multiplying resources for communities. Awards are given to volunteers in some specific categories, such as; youth (under the age of 18), senior (over the age of 60), person(s) with a disability, faith-based volunteer(s) and lifetime achievement.

Volunteer Columbus of  United Way Lowndes County would like to recognize you, your groups, or ogranization in the 2017 Give Awards ceremony on Monday, April 10, 2017.
